Socialbookmark

This is a Firefox browser extension (or add-on) that integrates the Social Bookmarking Service del.icio.us into the browser.

The difference to other extensions is that it stores the bookmarks in your browser and additionally sends the bookmark to del.icio.us. Why that?
The imediate advantages are:

Faster search in own bookmarks, no network requests must be made.
More control: Private bookmarks on del.icio.us are good, but better would be if you can choose to give your home banking login URL to anyone else...
... and use just one browser integrated bookmarking tool.

Searchlist: double click on (or Return/Enter on a focused) bookmark opens the URL and closes the search list ,meta + double click (or Return/Enter key) opens the URL in a new tab and let the search list open.
Synchronizing: display of syncronize progress stays visible until 'Close' button is clicked
